FAQ's, GENERAL INFORMATION, AND POLICIES FOR PHOTO TOURS

> What is a Photo Tour
A photo tour is a hiking/walking adventure with an emphasis on creating great photographs while experiencing beautiful sites and scenery. I'll be sharing my favorite locations and compositions while helping you create new and exciting images. Upon your return home we will be available to personally review your images from the tour to offer my thoughts on your work.

> Who is a Photo Tour for
Our photo tours are for all photographers, from beginners to those at more advanced experience levels.

> Group Sizes
Group sizes are typically 4 to 6 participants in size. Keeping the groups small allows me and my assistant to spend more time one-on-one with you offering guidance and advice.

> What is Included
Your photo tour fees include location guiding and when specified will include lunch or dinner.

> What is Not Included
Air travel, transportation, lodging, and meals (unless otherwise specified) are not included in your photo tour.

> Air Travel
Air travel to and from the photo tour location, lodging, and meals are not included in your photo tour. You are urged to purchase trip insurance and/or refundable airline tickets.

> Transportation
Transportation is not included in your photo tour unless otherwise specified and agreed upon in writing. You will be responsible for shuttling yourself to the photo tour destination or trail-head. Upon receipt of your down payment for your photo tour we will provide you with maps and driving instructions to get to our designated assembly point.

> What to Expect
Our photo tours are set in the desert southwest where the Sangre de Cristo Mountains meet the Rio Grande rift. This is a high-desert environment where both Taos and Santa Fe sit at an elevation of 7,000 feet above sea level, and the mountain peaks rise to over 13,000 feet. Due to the nature of our photo tours it recommended that you allow yourself several days to acclimate to the altitude and dry atmosphere.

Our Taos High-Road and Streets of Santa Fe photo tours will require walking several miles and participants should be in good physical condition. The Waterfalls & Wildflowers photo tour will require hiking a total of six miles round-trip and participants should be in very good physical condition and should be comfortable carrying a backpack full of photographic equipment over rugged terrain. The Waterfalls & Wildflowers photo tour will reach an elevation over 11,000 feet above sea level.

> Weather Conditions & Considerations
Often the best time to shoot is before and immediately after a storm system has moved through the area. Having said that, it is impossible to predict the weather when planning for a photo tour. The photo tour will not be cancelled due to weather unless the conditions make it unsafe or unproductive to begin/continue the photo tour. It is recommended that you come prepared for any and all weather conditions.

> Liability Waiver
Each participant is required to sign a liability waiver in order to participate in a Recapture Photography photo tour. Upon confirmed registration, you will receive additional information regarding your photo tour as well as our waiver. Your signed waiver must be returned no later than 30 days before the start date of the workshop in order to participate.

> Registration and Payment
A deposit of 1/2 the photo tour cost is required to secure your spot(s), with the remainder due 30 days before the photo tour. If the balance is not received within 30 days from the start of the photo tour, the reservation is cancelled. Upon receiving your deposit, we will send trip materials, including the itinerary, location map, and suggested reading list.

> Cancellation Policy
Recapture Photography reserves the right to cancel photo tours for any reason at any time. In the event of such cancellation, those with reservations shall be notified as soon as possible and a full refund of photo tour payment will be given. Recapture Photography is not responsible for refund or reimbursement of additional expenses incurred in preparation for your photo tour.

> Refund Policy
If you cancel 30 days or more before the start date of the workshop, 100% of your payment(s) will be returned to you. If you cancel 29 days or fewer from departure, you will be charged 50% of the workshop fee. If you cancel 14 days or fewer from departure, no refund will be given.

Cancellations, for any reason, must be in writing.
