I’ve been revisiting several older images on my hard drives lately. Perhaps it’s because I haven’t traveled as much this past year due to fuel prices. I find myself longing for some time on the Colorado Plateau, especially southern Utah. It’s a bizarre land full of interesting shapes and textures, not to mention the colors of the landscape.
As I review these older images, I’m finding new ways to look at them and to process them. I’ll be sharing several of these images here on my blog over the next several days.

Wow, this is an amazing place. I always think of Utah as being dry………..love this reflection! How deep is this canyon?
What a captivating photo…I certainly feel like I missed out on some beautiful sights by not exploring the mountains of the southwest during my years in Taos. I never even made it to the Four Corners. Yet, looking at your work, I feel as if you’ve taken me on a spectacular tour! Thank you for sharing your wonderful gift and I’ll be back to your website to get whisked away again! ;o)
Hi Sarah,
Thank you for your comment! I would guess that the canyon is about 300 feet deep. There’s not much water to be found which is why it’s so special when you do find it.
Best,
Adam
Hi Kerrie,
It’s great to hear from you. We’ll have to take you on a road trip next time you make it out to Taos.
Best,
Adam
