When we jumped out of our vehicles I knew exactly where I wanted to be and what lens I would need. The light in New Mexico can be truly fantastic! I'm impressed you were able to get so much of the river into your shot. And the sage pushes it over the top. I think you could boost saturation in the sky area some to really push the image. Image seems a tad overexposed here (but I'm on my laptop, so who knows), so I think you could underexpose some more. And that's certainly a mighty fine answer. I would add in addition to "the view", "the light."
