I have just returned from southern Utah where I spent a few days with friends exploring the many archaeological treasures left behind by the ancestral puebloan people better known as the Anasazi. This particular shot was captured inside a large cliff dwelling that had a fine dust filtering through it.
This site is not part of any national park or monument. It sits deep in a canyon many miles from the nearest paved road and requires considerable effort to visit it.

Sweet!
What an amazing place……….and a fantastic shot! How lucky you are that live close enough to see these great places. Is there any concern about people doing damage to these ruins or are they too isolated? I’m sure they fall under some sort of protection? Thanks for taking me to places I may never get a chance to visit……
Great shot here. BTW…I am very excited about the 5D! I have some new photos on my blog. Thanks!

I guess you ended liking all that dust. My lungs are punishing me for it. And I like my shots without out it better. But this is really cool!
Thanks for checking out my site. I am excited about this upgrade! I just shot a family play time today, and I am very impressed with the camera. It had the effect I was going for without a fast lens. Check it out when you get a chance. Thanks

Brian, I like this composition both with, and without the dust in the air. The dust gave me a lot of problems yesterday, but I’m beginning to feel better today.
Adam,
I have heard a lot about you from Brian and Liz. I love the “Spirit Within.” The dust really makes it look like there are spirits dwelling there. I am Brian’s mom, just so you know who this strange woman is leaving you a comment.
Hi Sharon,
Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment! I hope we have an opportunity to meet someday.
