Late afternoon thunderstorms have added some color to the Chama River and saturated the surrounding countryside. Near the village of Abiquiu, New Mexico and Ghost Ranch.

I like the stream in the desert. It is amazing to see growth in such places. Keep it up! BTW…I have another wedding in a month, so look forward to that.
No wonder Georgia O’Keeffe loved New Mexico! I really like the muddy river. I also love the way the river draws you into the photo. You want to know whats beyond……….Just beautiful!
Hi Estevan,
I came across a photo from this same location that was taken probably 20 years ago by David Muench. It’s very interesting to see how much the trees have grown and how the land has begun to fill with desert scrub. I’ll have to share it with you sometime.
Hi Sarah,
Thank you for your comment. I agree that it’s very easy to see why Georgia O’Keeffe (and Ansel Adams) loved this part of New Mexico.
Thanks!
