The smiling faces of Grand Canyon National Park.

Here are a few images from an afternoon spent photographing the mules and cowboys at the Grand Canyon upon their return from another successful trip down (and back up) the Bright Angel Trail. All images were captured with a Canon 5D and the wonderful 70-200mm f/4L IS lens.

These are GREAT!!! They are all such classic shots and the mule is hysterical!! What a fantastic trip you had. Well worth the bad weather, huh??

  2. Tremendous! I really like the third image the best, but they are all interesting. It’s pretty bad when even a mule laughs at you!

The mule was probably laughing at the other mules that had heavier loads and that he got off easy…..LOL

  4. Sarah, bad weather = ‘good’ weather for landscape photography.

Brian, thanks for the comment. That mule was a real character.

Pat, You should see how they treat each other, it’s absolutely awful, but funny to watch.
