New images from Moab trip

Posted by Adam Schallau on Nov 08 2007 | Arches, Canyonlands, Utah, Anasazi

I’ve been busy instructing but did manage to find some time tonight to work on a few images from my recent trip to the Moab area. As you can see in the images below and the shot of Delicate Arch from yesterday I was on a bit of a sun-star kick.

    What happened with your equipment?

I like the sunstars. They’re beautiful captures. I also had a sun star theme going last weekend, but none of them as nice as the ones you captured.

  2. My 3-stop hard edge Singh-Ray filter slid right through the holder and fell to the sandstone below, then went over the edge and bounced another six-feet to the next ledge. The fall chipped two corners and left many scratches. 15 minutes later I dropped the lens cap to my new 70-200 f/4L IS and it (the cap) fell into a crack never to be seen again. The cap was a minor loss but I was terrified of damaging the front element of the lens without it.

Thanks for your comments. I look forward to seeing your new images.

  4. Thanks! I think one of the reasons I appreciate rock art is because of your stick-figure drawings. ;-)
