Artist-in-Residence ~ Grand Canyon National Park

I have some very exciting news to share. I have been selected to be an Artist-in-Residence on the South Rim of Grand Canyon National Park!

Only three artists per season have the privilege and honor of being the Artist-in-Residence on the South Rim, and this is only the second year for the program. The North Rim of the Grand Canyon has a similar program that takes place during the summer. I have more information here on my blog at the link at the top of the page, and also on my website (www.AdamSchallau.com) about what it will mean to be the Artist-in-Residence. I will be providing regular updates here on my blog during my stay at the Grand Canyon, sharing new images and experiences.

This has been an exciting year. First winning New Mexico Magazine’s photography contest, then receiving The Luminous Landscape Endowment, and now to be selected as Artist-in-Residence at the Grand Canyon. I am truly humbled to have my work recognized and to have been selected for this opportunity.

How I wish I could be there at the Grand Canyon to see you in action! I’ve only flown over it, never stood on it’s edges, but your photos have made me feel as if I am there and makes me long to be even more so. You are more than worthy of this honor, you will rock them!
