A Winter Scene, Grand Canyon National Park

A Winter Scene at Grand Canyon National Park.

A snowy winter scene at the Grand Canyon

This past Saturday I awoke to discover that winter has not quite given up on the desert southwest just yet. We had a couple inches of snow fall in the canyon early in the morning, but by mid-day, most of it was gone.

I’d like to thank one of my sponsors, Vortex Media, their Storm Jacket kept my camera dry as the snow fell. It works as advertised, was simple to use, and didn’t get in the way.

Very cool! Glad you finally got a little snow and some interesting weather! Have you taken any photos that will work well as black & whites? Just curious.

  4. Hi Phil, yes I have taken several photos that I think are excellent candidates for conversion to black and white, but that will have to wait until I’m back home.

It’s as if the clouds brushed the canyons and left a little bit of themselves behind. Very nice.
